2 Best Parfums De Marley Clones
Parfums De Marley Kalan is one of my favourite fragrances, and scent profile in general. It bolsters an elegance and uniqueness that keeps my nose wanting more.
I own both of these clones and compared both of their scents to Kalan. They’re both slightly different scents and surprisingly, I prefer the scent that smells less like Kalan.

My Experience
Amber Oud Exclusif Sport was love at first sniff for me and I actually enjoy it more than Kalan itself.
I blind-bought it after smelling Maison Alhambra’s Kalos, which was my first experience with Kalan’s scent profile.
The Scent
Kalan can be challenging for some people and I attribute a large part of that to its opening. It can be described as dirty, earthy, and musty. I enjoy it personally but I get why some may not.
Amber Oud Exclusif Sport skips the dirtiness in the opening. If you’ve smelled Kalan, imagine what it would smell like without the blood orange and earthiness, you get this fragrance for the most part.
This is a linear cent and doesn’t change a whole lot from opening to dry-down, unlike Kalan.
I think this fragrance is more mass appealing because it’s less challenging.
Amber Oud Exclusif Sport is also a high-quality scent likened to a high-end designer fragrance. It doesn’t have the alcoholic opening that you get with Maison Alhambra’s Kalos.
Performance
Given that this is an extrait de parfum with a 35% oil concentration, it does sit a little closer to the skin.
For me, it projects for 1.5-2 hours and last 5-7 hours on my skin. However, likely due to the oil concentration, it lasts days on my clothes.
Compliment Factor
If you’re wondering whether Amber Oud Exclusif Sport is a hit with the ladies, here’s what I can say. Out of all my fragrances (I have a lot), Amber Oud Exclusif Sport is one of my wife’s favorites on me, and she’s a picky one trust me.
A couple of my personal training clients have complimented me on this scent.
I’ve received a couple of other compliments telling me I “smell good”.

My Experience
Maison Alhambra’s Kalos was my first experience with Kalan’s scent profile. It was like at first sniff but grew on me and transformed into a love.
The Scent
Kalos smells nearly identical to Kalan, unlike Amber Oud Exclusif Sport.
The one difference I notice is on the dry-down Kalos is lighter, less dense, and loses some of the earthiness that Kalan carries.
Performance
For me, Kalos has an average projection for 1-1.5 hours, lasts 5-7 hours on my skin, and 12+ hours on clothes.
Compliment Factor
My wife enjoys this scent but not as much as Amber Oud Exclusif Sport.
I had a similar experience with one of my personal training clients who complimented me on Amber Oud Exclusif Sport, however, they didn’t actually like the scent of Kalos.
I can recall only receiving one other compliment telling me I “smell good”.
